Pistol Compatibility
This Inside the Waistband Kydex holster is molded for Taurus PT900‑series pistols: PT909, PT938, PT940, and PT945. It follows the frame and slide profile of these models and is intended for non‑light‑bearing configurations without weapon‑mounted lights or frame‑mounted lasers.
Shell Material and Profile
The holster body is formed from 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic. The rigid shell maintains its shape under belt pressure, supporting consistent one‑handed reholstering. A full‑height sweat guard on the body side runs along the slide, helping to reduce metal‑to‑skin contact and to protect the pistol’s finish from perspiration during everyday carry.
Retention and Cant Adjustment
Passive retention is provided by a friction fit around the trigger guard and frame. The retention level can be adjusted using the front‑mounted hardware screws so the user can increase or decrease draw resistance according to preference. The belt clip mounting slots allow cant adjustment, making it possible to set the carry angle for appendix or strong‑side inside‑the‑waistband carry.
Belt Clip and Everyday Use
A single polymer belt clip is designed to attach securely to standard 1.5‑inch everyday carry belts. The low‑profile clip and slim Kydex shell keep the pistol close to the body to support concealed carry while providing enough rigidity for a stable draw and repeatable reholstering.
Compatibility Notes
This holster is intended for Taurus PT909, PT938, PT940, and PT945 pistols without weapon lights, frame‑mounted lasers, or oversized compensators. Optic‑ready slides with low‑profile red dot sights may fit, but taller optics or suppressor‑height sights can interfere with the sight channel and should be checked before use.
Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the holster to high temperatures, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex can deform under excessive heat.
Clean the holster using mild soap and water only. Do not use abrasive pads or aggressive chemical cleaners.
Do not lubricate the retention screws. After setting your preferred retention, periodically check the hardware for tightness. If needed, apply a medium‑strength threadlocker to help keep the screws secure during everyday carry.
