Ambidextrous Control Clearances
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to the precise external dimensions of the Heckler & Koch P30. The molding architecture incorporates dedicated relief channels on both the inboard and outboard sides of the shell. These specific channels provide full clearance for the P30’s elongated, ambidextrous slide release levers, preventing the hardware from snagging during the draw stroke and eliminating friction on the factory controls.
Hammer and Sweat Guard Profile
An integrated rear sweat shield extends vertically to cover the slide serrations and provides a physical barrier near the exposed hammer area. This boundary isolates the metallic components from body perspiration during inside-the-waistband carry. It simultaneously stops the rear slide profile from rubbing against the carrier’s torso during daily movement.
Trigger Enclosure and Friction Dial
A rigid polymer perimeter completely surrounds the trigger guard, establishing a mechanical lockout against clothing, drawstrings, or foreign debris. Extraction resistance is manually dictated by the user. Two steel tension screws located beneath the trigger area allow exact calibration of the friction required to unholster the weapon.
Polymer Integrity Constraints
Kydex relies entirely on heat-memory retention. Exposing the holster to extreme ambient heat, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle under direct sunlight, will permanently warp the mold and destroy the retention fit. Maintain the surfaces using only cold water and mild detergent. Never apply oil or lubricants to the retention hardware; routinely verify that all screws remain firmly tightened.
