IWI Masada Slim IWB Kydex Holster
Platform Fit — Masada Slim Specific The Masada Slim has a 3.4″ barrel, an overall length of 6.3″, and a 1.1″ width, built from the ground up for concealed carry. This shell is molded for the Masada Slim’s slide profile and frame geometry. The Masada Slim OR variant ships with a factory slide cut for direct optic mounting — this shell includes an optic cut at the rear of the slide window to accommodate a mounted red-dot on the OR variant. The optic cut does not interfere with holstering on standard non-OR configurations. If running an OR variant with a mounted optic, test fit with the optic installed before daily carry — optics with taller bodies may exceed the shell’s cut clearance.
The following Masada Slim variants are not compatible with this holster:
Any Masada Slim configuration with a rail-mounted weapon light — this shell is molded for the bare frame only; a mounted accessory prevents correct seating
Grip Angle and Carry Position The Masada platform uses a grip angle closer to the 1911 geometry than to most modern striker-fired pistols. In appendix carry, this angle works naturally at a neutral cant (0°), supporting a straight upward draw. In strong-side carry at 3–4 o’clock, a forward cant of 5°–10° compensates for the shallower angle and keeps the draw path consistent with the body’s natural motion. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the belt clip.
Shell Construction Full Kydex construction throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. When the Masada Slim reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the retention contact point, confirming seating audibly. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact during IWB carry. At 6.3″ overall and 1.1″ width, the Masada Slim’s slim profile keeps the grip close to the body in both appendix and strong-side positions.
Retention The retention screw is accessible from the exterior of the shell and adjustable without removing the holster from the belt. Test retention with the fully loaded firearm before daily carry — the correct setting holds the pistol through full inversion without play while still allowing a clean, single-motion draw.
Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and promotes retention drift over time.
