First-Generation APX Full-Size Molding
This Outside the Waistband (OWB) polymer holster is injection-molded exclusively for the original Beretta APX Full-Size platform. The rigid architectural housing is contoured to accommodate the unique, aggressive slide serrations and specific trigger guard dimensions of the first-generation chassis.
Critical Fitment Exclusions:Â Due to precise molding tolerances, this holster will not fit the newer Beretta APX A1 series, the APX Carry (subcompact) variants, or any APX model equipped with a weapon-mounted light or laser module.
Active Index-Release Security (Level II)
Engineered strictly for open carry, range training, and duty applications, this rig utilizes an active Level II mechanical locking system. Upon holstering, an internal locking block engages the trigger guard, securing the weapon against disarming attempts and vigorous movement. The carrier disengages the retention through an intuitive index-finger release button positioned naturally along the draw path, ensuring a rapid extraction without compromising safety.
Adjustable Duty Paddle Integration
The external mounting system features a contoured, high-durability polymer paddle designed to anchor securely over a gun belt or inside the waistband. The paddle incorporates a 360-degree rotational gear hub, allowing users to manually adjust the holster’s cant (angle) to optimize their preferred draw stroke—whether positioned strong-side or cross-draw. The clip is adaptable to fit standard 1.5-inch to 2.0-inch belt widths.
Polymer Limits and Hardware Maintenance
Constructed from impact-resistant polymer, the structural housing protects the firearm’s finish while maintaining structural integrity under heavy operational stress. Keep the internal locking mechanism free from dirt and debris. Wash the exterior and interior strictly with cold water and mild soap. Periodically check the torque on the rotational gear screw to ensure the angle remains firmly locked in place.
