Molding Clearances for CPX Platforms
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to fit the exact frame contours of both the SCCY CPX-1 and CPX-2 models. The upper channel of the Kydex structure is specifically engineered to provide full physical clearance for the ambidextrous manual safety levers found on the CPX-1. This precise contouring ensures the safety mechanism remains untouched during holstering, while maintaining a secure, zero-wobble fit for the safety-less CPX-2.
DAO Trigger Isolation
Both CPX models operate with a Double-Action Only (DAO) trigger system. The rigid polymer completely encapsulates the trigger guard on both sides, establishing a hard physical barrier. This lockout design prevents clothing, drawstrings, or fingers from engaging the long trigger pull while the firearm is concealed.
Retention and Sweat Shield Integration
Friction dictates the specific holding force. The user calibrates the exact extraction resistance by adjusting the dual steel screws positioned beneath the trigger guard. The body-facing side of the holster features an extended vertical sweat shield. This integrated guard blocks bodily moisture from transferring to the slide and prevents the metallic components from rubbing against the carrier’s skin.
Thermoplastic Care Directives
Kydex requires basic thermal discipline. Storing this unit inside environments with extreme heat, such as a locked vehicle dashboard in direct sunlight, will permanently warp the retention molding. Clean the interior shell strictly with cold water and mild soap. Never apply lubricants or oils to the retention hardware; verify screw tightness periodically.
