Chassis Clearance and Laser Integration
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to the specific lower profile of the Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 380 equipped with the factory-integrated Crimson Trace Red Laser. The molding incorporates structural clearance to wrap around the laser module housing seamlessly, preventing friction on the activation buttons and maintaining a clean draw path. Fitment Exclusion: This specific molding does not accommodate the newer Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 frames.
Enclosed Geometry and Hardware Calibration
Consistent retention relies on dedicated hardware adjustments. Users manually calibrate the extraction force through the steel tension screws positioned beneath the trigger zone, adapting the holding friction directly to the integrated module’s housing. The polymer architecture completely envelopes the trigger mechanism, providing a mechanical block against clothing or drawstrings while concealed.
Profile Control and Body Guard
Designed exclusively for concealed carry, the inward-facing side of the shell features a molded sweat guard extending upward. This rearward barrier sits between the slide and the carrier, reducing abrasive contact with the torso during movement and blocking moisture transfer to the weapon’s metallic surfaces.​
Maintenance and Thermal Guidelines
Thermoplastic shells rely on heat-formed memory. Exposing the unit to enclosed, high-heat environments—such as a locked vehicle dashboard in summer—will permanently deform the dedicated laser molding. To maintain the hardware, check screw tension periodically and use threadlocker if adjustments require locking. Never apply oils or fluid lubricants to the tension screws. Clean the shell only with cold water and mild soap.
