Celestron UpClose G2 Porro Series Binoculars

Engineered for general-purpose outdoor observation, the Celestron UpClose G2 series offers an accessible entry point into brand-name optics. Available in fixed 10x, 20x, and adjustable 10-30x magnification variants, these binoculars are suitable for birdwatching, casual astronomy, and attending sporting events.​

Classic Porro Prism Optics These binoculars utilize a traditional Porro prism design equipped with standard BK-7 glass. The 50mm multi-coated objective lenses improve light transmission compared to uncoated glass, resulting in brighter views and solid image contrast during daytime and early twilight conditions.

Water-Resistant Chassis The internal aluminum frame is wrapped in a textured, rubber-armored exterior with ergonomic thumb indents. While not fully waterproof or nitrogen-purged for submersion, the protective rubber coating provides impact resistance and guards the optical alignment against light rain, mist, and minor bumps in the field.​

Focusing and Ergonomics The central focusing wheel is knurled for easy adjustment, allowing for smooth transition of focus on moving targets. All models feature folding rubber eyecups, providing basic comfort adjustments for users both with and without eyeglasses. Due to the high magnification and weight of the 50mm lenses, a threaded socket is built into the central hinge, making the entire series tripod-adaptable for hands-free, stabilized viewing.​
