Glock 19 / 19X / 23 / 25 / 32 / G44 / G45 IWB Kydex Holster — Olight PL PRO / PL 2
PL PRO vs. PL 2 — One Shell, Two Lights, Key Differences The Olight PL PRO and PL 2 are related but dimensionally distinct weapon lights. The PL PRO is physically larger, heavier, and outputs higher lumens than the PL 2. Despite those differences, both lights share a compatible rail interface and overall footprint on the Glock compact frame that allows a single shell to cover both configurations. The draw feel will differ slightly between the two — the PL PRO’s additional mass creates more resistance during the draw stroke than the lighter PL 2. Set retention separately if you switch between the two lights.

The Glock 23 Gen 5 and Glock 32 Gen 5 are not compatible — their frame geometry differs from previous generations. The weapon light must be mounted to the rail before holstering. The shell indexes off the light body as part of its retention geometry; the holster does not function correctly without the light attached.
Shell Construction Full Kydex construction. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. An audible click occurs when the firearm with mounted light reaches full seating depth — this is the Kydex flexing and snapping back at the retention point, confirming correct seating. It is a passive function of the mold geometry. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact. All shell edges are finished and polished at the holster mouth and body perimeter.
Retention Adjustment The retention screw is positioned at the light body interface — the primary lock point on the combined firearm-plus-light unit. Because the PL PRO and PL 2 have different body masses, retention set for one light may need adjustment when switching to the other. Always test retention with the specific light configuration you intend to carry daily, using a fully loaded firearm.
Optic Cut An optic cut is present in the shell for users running a compact red-dot on optic-ready Glock variants within this compatibility range. The cut serves the optic mounted on the slide — it is independent of the weapon light on the rail. Confirm that your specific optic footprint clears the shell geometry before use, as the light-bearing configuration has not been individually tested with every available red-dot model.
Cant Cant is adjustable via the belt clip hardware. The PL PRO’s larger mass shifts the weight distribution of the holstered unit forward, which is noticeable in appendix carry. A neutral cant tends to sit more stably against the body with full-size weapon lights than a strongly angled position would.
