Integrated Light-Bearing Geometry
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to the exact dimensions of the Beretta APX Full Size (FS) strictly when equipped with the Olight Baldr S or Olight Baldr Mini illumination modules. The rigid polymer architecture flows around the unique slide serrations of the APX and expands specifically at the lower chassis to accommodate the width of the mounted light.
Module-Dependent Retention
Mounting the Olight alters the physical anchor points of the system. This specific Kydex molding utilizes the chassis of the Baldr module as the primary point of friction, rather than the firearm’s trigger guard. Fitment Notice: Due to this light-bearing design, the holster will not secure the Beretta APX FS if the Olight module is removed. Users calibrate the exact extraction resistance via the dual steel tension screws beneath the light channel.
Wide-Channel Trigger Lockout
Accommodating an illumination module requires an enlarged holster mouth to allow smooth clearing during the draw stroke. To maintain absolute firing safety, the polymer walls overlap this widened area entirely. This hard mechanical barrier seals the trigger guard from both sides, preventing clothing, drawstrings, or foreign debris from entering the channel.
Thermal Maintenance and Hardware Care
Thermoplastic materials rely on heat-formed memory to maintain structural integrity. Storing the unit in extreme heat environments, such as a locked vehicle dashboard in direct sunlight, will permanently warp the dedicated light molding. Clean the exterior and interior strictly with cold water and mild detergent. Do not apply lubricants or oils to the tension hardware; verify screw tightness routinely.
