Revolver Compatibility
This Inside the Waistband Kydex holster is molded to fit small‑frame double‑action revolvers with 2‑inch barrels that share a similar profile, including Taurus 605, 85, 856, and 942 models, as well as the Ruger SP101. It is intended for standard, non‑light‑bearing configurations and is not designed for use with frame‑mounted lasers, rail‑mounted accessories, or oversized front sights and compensators.
Shell Material and Profile
The holster body is formed from approximately 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic, providing a rigid shell that maintains its shape under belt pressure and supports consistent one‑handed reholstering. The design encloses the trigger guard completely and features a raised body‑side shield to reduce metal‑to‑skin contact and help protect the revolver’s finish from perspiration during everyday carry.
Retention and Cant Adjustment
Passive retention is provided by a molded friction fit around the frame and trigger guard area of the revolver. The retention level can be adjusted with the front‑mounted hardware screws, allowing the user to balance security with a smooth, repeatable draw. Slotted mounting on the belt clip supports cant adjustment so the holster can be set up for appendix or strong‑side inside‑the‑waistband carry.
Belt Clip and Everyday Use
A single polymer belt clip is designed to attach securely to typical 1.5‑inch everyday carry belts. The slim Kydex shell keeps the revolver close to the body to aid concealment while still offering enough rigidity for a stable draw and reliable reholstering throughout daily use.
Compatibility Notes
This holster is intended for Taurus 605, 85, 856, and 942 revolvers with approximately 2‑inch barrels, along with the Ruger SP101 in comparable snub‑nose barrel lengths, and does not accommodate extended barrels or magnum‑profile heavy barrels beyond that envelope. Users should verify fit if using non‑standard grips, oversized hammers, or high‑visibility front sights, as these can change the way the revolver seats in the holster.
Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the holster to high temperatures, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex can deform under excessive heat.
Clean the holster using mild soap and water only, and avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the Kydex or hardware.
Do not lubricate the retention screws. After setting your preferred retention, periodically check the hardware for tightness; if needed, apply a medium‑strength threadlocker to help keep the screws secure during everyday carry.

Not easy to find an inside the waistband holster for a 2″ revolver, especially in kydex. This one did it, and for a good price. Took some adjustment, they always do, and it fits perfectly. Carries really nice too, hardly notice it’s there. Nice work!
