Pistol and Light Compatibility
This Inside the Waistband Kydex holster is molded specifically for compact Taurus pistols including the G2C and G3C when equipped with the TrustFire GM23 weapon light. It is a light‑bearing design, so the pistol must be carried with the GM23 installed on the accessory rail for the holster to retain properly; it is not intended for use without the light or with other light or laser models.
Shell Material and Profile
The holster body is formed from approximately 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic, providing a rigid shell that maintains its shape under belt pressure and supports consistent one‑handed reholstering even with the added bulk of a weapon‑mounted light. The design fully covers the trigger guard and includes a raised body‑side sweat guard to reduce metal‑to‑skin contact while helping protect both pistol and light from perspiration during everyday concealed carry.
Retention and Cant Adjustment
Passive retention is provided by a molded friction lock that indexes primarily on the light and trigger‑guard area, giving consistent lock‑up for both G2C and G3C pistols when the GM23 is attached. Retention can be adjusted using the front‑mounted hardware screws so you can balance security with a smooth, repeatable draw. Slotted mounting for the belt clip allows cant adjustment, making it possible to set your preferred carry angle for appendix or strong‑side inside‑the‑waistband use.
Belt Clip and Everyday Use
A single 1.5‑inch belt clip is designed to attach securely to typical everyday carry belts, helping keep the holster stable during movement and drawing. The slim Kydex shell and light‑specific molding keep the pistol‑and‑light combination close to the body to aid concealment while providing enough rigidity for a controlled draw and reliable reholstering throughout daily use.
Compatibility Notes
This holster is intended for Taurus G2C and G3C pistols used with the TrustFire GM23 and does not fit full‑size Taurus G3, G3X, G3XL, or any setups with different light or laser models. Because the retention is shaped around the GM23 body, the pistol will not seat or retain correctly in the holster without the light attached, and users running unusually tall suppressor‑height sights or oversized optics should verify clearance before carry.
Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the holster to high temperatures, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex can deform under excessive heat.
Clean the holster using mild soap and water only; do not use abrasive pads or aggressive chemical cleaners that could damage the Kydex, hardware, or light‑bearing contours.
Do not lubricate the retention screws. After setting your preferred retention, periodically check the hardware for tightness and, if needed, apply a medium‑strength threadlocker to help keep the screws secure during everyday carry.
