Shared Frame Geometry and Control Channels
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to match the shared exterior chassis dimensions of the Taurus TH9, TH40, and TH380. The molding architecture features dedicated upper relief channels on both the inboard and outboard sides. These specific clearances ensure the prominent ambidextrous safety and decocker levers remain completely unobstructed during the draw stroke and re-holstering processes.
Hammer Profile and Body Shield
Because the TH series utilizes an external hammer mechanism, the holster requires specific rear coverage. An extended sweat guard projects upward along the slide, creating a physical boundary between the carrier’s torso and the exposed hammer area. This vertical shield prevents the rear profile of the firearm from rubbing against the user’s skin and stops body moisture from transferring to the metallic slide components.
DA/SA Trigger Lockout and Friction Hardware
The rigid Kydex polymer completely encapsulates the trigger guard, establishing a mechanical lockout around the Double-Action/Single-Action (DA/SA) trigger system to block clothing and foreign debris. Users manually calibrate the extraction resistance by tightening or loosening the dual steel tension screws located directly beneath the trigger guard.
Thermal Integrity and Hardware Discipline
Kydex maintains its structural form strictly through thermal memory. Exposing the unit to enclosed, high-temperature environments—such as a locked vehicle parked in direct sunlight—will permanently warp the shell and destroy its retention properties. Wash all surfaces exclusively with cold water and mild soap. Never apply oil or thread lubricants to the retention hardware; verify screw tightness routinely.
