MC2c and MC2sc — Two Different Platforms The Mossberg MC2c and MC2sc are separate pistols with different frame geometries, not size variants of the same design. The MC2c is a compact-class pistol; the MC2sc is a micro-compact with an overall length of 6.25″ and a height of 4.30″. For holster purposes, these dimensional differences mean the two models require separately molded shells to fit correctly. This holster covers both — confirm which model you carry and test fit before committing to daily carry, as tolerance at the shell edges differs between the two configurations.

Why Holster Options Are Limited for These Platforms Mossberg MC2c and MC2sc holster availability is more limited than for higher-volume platforms like Glock or Sig. Cross-bolt Safety Variants Both the MC2c and MC2sc are available with and without a cross-bolt safety. The cross-bolt safety adds a button on the right side of the frame that extends slightly beyond the frame profile. This holster accommodates both configurations — the safety does not protrude in a way that affects shell retention or trigger guard coverage.​

Shell Construction Full Kydex construction at 0.08″ thickness throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. An optic cut is present in the shell for MC2sc variants running a direct-mount red-dot on the factory optic-ready slide — the MC2sc ships with an optic-ready slide as standard. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact. All edges are finished and polished at the holster mouth and body perimeter. When the pistol reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the retention point, confirming seating audibly.

Retention and Cant Retention is set passively at the shell level via adjustment screw. The MC2sc’s slim 1.10″ width makes it one of the narrower double-stack pistols on the market — the shell’s retention contact surface is correspondingly narrow, which means small adjustments to the retention screw produce more noticeable changes in draw resistance than on wider platforms. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the belt clip, covering strong-side and appendix carry positions. The MC2sc’s compact dimensions and light weight make it particularly manageable in appendix carry.

Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and can cause retention drift over time.
