Platform Fit The LCP MAX has a 2.80″ barrel, an overall length of 5.17″, a height of 4.12″, and a slide width of 0.81″. This shell is molded for the LCP MAX’s specific slide profile and grip geometry. The LCP MAX is available in two configurations — standard without manual safety and a manual safety variant with a thumb lever on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard. This shell accommodates both configurations — the safety lever does not interfere with the shell’s retention geometry or trigger guard coverage.
Optic-Ready Configuration Some LCP MAX configurations include a rear sight channel compatible with a micro reflex sight mounted directly to the slide. This shell includes an optic cut to accommodate a mounted micro red-dot on those configurations. The cut does not affect holstering on configurations without a mounted optic.
The following are not compatible with this holster:
Any LCP MAX configuration with an aftermarket rail adapter attached — the LCP MAX has no factory rail; an aftermarket adapter alters the frame profile and is not accounted for in this shell
Shell Construction Full Kydex construction throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. When the LCP MAX reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the retention contact point, confirming seating audibly. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact during IWB carry. At 5.17″ overall, 0.81″ width, and 10.6 oz unloaded, the LCP MAX is an exceptionally light and compact platform. Both appendix and strong-side carry are practical at this size — the shell’s low-profile clip keeps the grip flush against the body in either position.
Retention and Cant The retention screw is accessible from the exterior of the shell and adjustable without removing the holster from the belt. At 10.6 oz unloaded, the LCP MAX’s minimal weight means retention can be set lighter than on heavier platforms while still reliably holding through inversion — avoid over-tightening, which increases draw resistance disproportionately at this weight class. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the belt clip.
Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and promotes retention drift over time.
