The sidecar design keeps your spare magazine aligned with the pistol, supporting faster reloads while maintaining a compact footprint for concealed carry.
Shell Material and Profile The sidecar rig is built from approximately 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic, providing a rigid shell that maintains its shape under belt pressure and supports consistent one‑handed reholstering. A raised sweat guard on the body side helps reduce metal‑to‑skin contact and protects the pistol slide and magazine from perspiration during everyday carry.
Retention and Flexibility Passive retention is provided by molded friction around the pistol’s trigger guard and frame, as well as the spare magazine body, with independent tension screws so you can tune draw and reload resistance separately. A flexible or hinged connection between the pistol shell and mag carrier allows the rig to conform to your waistline, improving comfort and concealment when worn in the appendix position.
Belt Clips and Everyday Use Two 1.5‑inch belt clips are designed to attach securely to standard everyday carry belts, helping distribute weight and keep the sidecar rig stable during movement and drawing. The slim Kydex profile keeps the Taurus G2c / G3c and spare magazine close to the body, aiding concealment while providing enough rigidity for a controlled draw, efficient reloads, and reliable reholstering throughout daily use.
Compatibility Notes This sidecar holster is intended for Taurus G2c and G3c‑size frames in standard, non‑light‑bearing configurations and is not designed for pistols equipped with rail‑mounted lights or lasers. It is optimized for factory‑size magazines; extended baseplates or very tall optics and suppressor‑height sights should be test‑fitted, as extreme setups can affect how the pistol and magazine seat in the rig.
Care and Maintenance To preserve your Kydex sidecar holster’s service life, avoid exposing it to high temperatures, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex can deform under excessive heat. Clean the holster with mild soap and water only, avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners, and periodically check all retention and hardware screws for tightness rather than lubricating them, applying a medium‑strength threadlocker if needed to keep your preferred settings secure during everyday carry.
