Sig Sauer P320 M18 / X-Carry / Compact IWB Kydex Holster — Olight Baldr S M18, X-Carry, and Compact — Frame Differences That Matter for Holster Fit The P320 M18 and P320 X-Carry use the same grip module: the carry-length frame with a 17-round magazine capacity and a height of approximately 5.5″. The M18 is the military-contract designation for the X-Carry configuration — for holster purposes they are the same platform and fit this shell identically. The P320 Compact uses a shorter grip module (15-round capacity, approximately 0.25″ less height) with the same 3.9″ barrel and slide. All three models share the same slide length, so the shell’s muzzle geometry and light interface are identical across them — the grip height difference at the base does not affect fit, as the shell indexes off the slide and light body rather than the grip module. The following P320 variants are not compatible with this holster: P320 XCompact — 3.6″ barrel and 7.0″ overall length produce a different slide profile and muzzle position P320 Full-Size / M17 — longer 4.7″ barrel and 8.0″ overall length require a separate shell P320 X-Five Legion — 5.0″ barrel, incompatible slide length Why This Holster Is Baldr S Specific — Not Baldr Mini The Baldr S and Baldr Mini are not the same light at different output levels — they have different physical dimensions. The Baldr S measures 2.48″ in length and 1.48″ in width; the Baldr Mini measures 2.24″ in length and 1.29″ in width. A Kydex shell molded for the Baldr S body will not produce correct retention geometry with the Baldr Mini installed — the Baldr Mini’s smaller footprint sits loose in the Baldr S shell without a functional retention lock point. If you are running a Baldr Mini, it requires a separate, dedicated shell. The Baldr S outputs 800 lumens of white light and integrates a green or blue laser in the same housing. It is a weapon light and laser combination unit — the laser module is part of the Baldr S body geometry and is accounted for in the shell mold. Light-First Fit Requirement The shell is molded around the combined profile of the P320 slide and the mounted Baldr S. The Baldr S must be attached to the rail before holstering — the shell indexes off the light body as part of its retention geometry. Holstering any P320 variant without the Baldr S installed will not produce a functional fit and may stress the shell’s retention contact point. Optic-Ready Variants The P320 M18 ships optic-ready from the factory with a rear optic plate system supporting direct-mount red-dots. The P320 Compact OR variant uses the same system. This shell includes an optic cut at the rear of the slide window to accommodate a mounted optic on OR variants. The cut does not interfere with holstering on non-OR configurations. Shell Construction Full Kydex construction throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. When the P320 with mounted Baldr S reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the Baldr S body interface, confirming seating audibly. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact during IWB carry. Retention and Cant The retention screw is positioned at the Baldr S body interface — the primary lock point on the combined firearm-plus-light unit. Test retention with the fully loaded firearm and mounted Baldr S before daily carry. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the belt clip, covering strong-side and appendix carry positions. The M18 and X-Carry’s carry-length grip combined with the Baldr S’s forward mass makes appendix carry workable at a neutral cant (0°); the Compact’s shorter grip module reduces overall print in appendix position. Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and promotes retention drift over time. Disclaimer: Brand and model names are used solely to indicate compatibility. This holster is good, fits my p320 m18 with olight baldr s, well. The first of 2 issues is not exclusive to this holster, put locktight on the screws with rubber bushings then tighten or you will lose retention. The second, is a little more serious. The area of the holster that covers the mag release only covers part of it. As a result, the first time I wore this holster, the plastic pressed my mag release and popped the magazine out. Obviously THIS is an issue. I fixed this by cutting the mag release “cover” away with a Dremel (ive attached pictures). The mag release does not need to be covered and this is a pretty serious design flaw. But it IS fixable if you are looking for a holster for this setup. I do still recommend this product, however you need to fix this problem before carrying (for obvious reasons)
