Platform Fit — P250 Full-Size The P250 Full-Size has a 4.7″ barrel and an overall length of 8.0″. This shell is molded for the P250 Full-Size slide profile and frame geometry. The P250 uses a modular fire control unit — the serialized chassis can be moved between frame sizes and calibers. For holster purposes, the shell indexes off the slide and frame geometry, not the internal chassis. The P250 is available in 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, and .45 ACP — the caliber difference does not alter the external slide or frame dimensions that contact the shell.
The following P250 variants are not compatible with this holster:
P250 with rail-mounted weapon light or laser — this shell is molded for the bare frame only; a mounted accessory prevents correct seating
DAO Trigger and Holster Safety The P250 is a double-action-only pistol with no external manual safety and no external hammer in the conventional sense — it uses a fully internal striker-fired-style mechanism with a consistent DA trigger pull. The trigger guard is the sole passive safety mechanism in the holster. This shell fully encloses the trigger guard from holster entry through the base of the guard, preventing trigger contact throughout the holstered carry period.
Shell Construction Full Kydex construction throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. When the P250 reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the retention contact point, confirming seating audibly. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact during IWB carry. At 8.0″ overall and approximately 29 oz unloaded, the P250 Full-Size is a service-class platform — a rigid belt of at least 1.5″ is recommended to support the weight without the holster rotating on the beltline.
Retention and Cant The retention screw is accessible from the exterior of the shell and adjustable without removing the holster from the belt. Test retention with the fully loaded firearm before daily carry — the correct setting holds the pistol through full inversion without play while still allowing a clean, single-motion draw. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the belt clip. Strong-side carry at 3–4 o’clock with a neutral cant (0°) is the most practical position for the P250 Full-Size’s overall length and weight. Appendix carry is possible but the 8.0″ length and service-class weight require deliberate positioning and a neutral cant to manage the combined profile comfortably.
Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and promotes retention drift over time.
