XMacro Dimensions and What They Mean for IWB Carry The P365 XMacro has a longer grip frame than the standard P365 or P365X, with a higher magazine capacity and a taller grip profile to accommodate it. That grip height is what most affects IWB carry: a taller grip sits higher in the waistband, covers more contact area against the torso, and is more likely to print against clothing at the beltline. This holster accounts for those XMacro-specific dimensions in both the shell mold and the ride height adjustment range.
Shell and Backing The Kydex outer shell is formed at 0.08″ thickness to the XMacro’s frame and slide profile. An optic cut is built into the shell for XMacro variants running a compact red-dot on the factory optic-ready slide. Behind the Kydex sits a leather base with a foam pad between the leather and body — the foam layer conforms to the carry position gradually over the first weeks of daily use, which is particularly relevant for a taller grip frame that contacts the torso over a larger surface.
Trigger Guard Enclosure The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the Kydex mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. The sweat guard is a separate feature — it extends behind the slide along the rear of the frame, keeping the grip-to-slide junction off direct skin contact. These are two distinct structural elements of the holster serving different functions.
Retention Retention is set at the shell level via adjustment screw. The XMacro’s heavier loaded weight — driven by the higher-capacity magazine — means retention calibration should always be done with a fully loaded firearm. An empty or partially loaded XMacro will draw differently than a fully loaded one, and setting retention to the unloaded configuration may result in unexpected looseness during actual carry.
Cant and Ride Height on the XMacro Cant adjusts from -25° to +25°. Ride height adjustment on the XMacro carries more consequence than on smaller pistols — lowering the ride height tucks the taller grip further below the beltline and reduces print, but creates a deeper draw that requires deliberate upward hand travel to establish a full grip before clearing the holster. A higher ride height makes the draw more natural but exposes more of the grip above the belt. Finding the correct balance for your clothing and carry position takes direct experimentation.
Leather Care Condition the leather backing periodically to prevent edge cracking, particularly after repeated sweat exposure. Clean the Kydex surface with a damp cloth only. Check all hardware screws at regular intervals — the XMacro’s heavier draw weight can accelerate fastener loosening compared to lighter platforms.
