Cocked-and-Locked Carry The P938 is a single-action-only 9mm with an external hammer and a ambidextrous thumb safety. There is no passive drop safety or striker block — the only carry-ready configuration is cocked-and-locked: hammer fully back, thumb safety engaged. This shell is built around that carry method. The mold provides full clearance around the thumb safety lever on both sides of the frame — holstering and drawing do not move the safety in either direction. If you have installed an aftermarket extended thumb safety, verify physical clearance against the shell before daily carry, as extended levers vary in width and throw distance by manufacturer.
Compatible Variants All standard P938 variants are compatible — P938 Nitron, P938 Equinox, P938 Blackwood, P938 SAS, and P938 Extreme. Finish, grip panel material, and grip panel texture do not affect shell fit. The shell indexes off the slide and frame geometry, which is consistent across all P938 variants.

Any P938 with an aftermarket extended barrel protruding beyond the standard slide
Any P938 with a rail-mounted laser — the P938 frame has no factory rail, and aftermarket rail adapters alter the dustcover profile beyond what this shell accounts for
Kydex Shell The trigger guard is fully enclosed from the holster mouth through the base of the guard — the external hammer and SAO trigger are both accounted for in the mold geometry. Full seating produces an audible retention click as the Kydex snaps back into the contact point at the slide. The rear sweat guard keeps the frame off direct skin contact in IWB carry.
Adjustments Retention adjusts via external screw without removing the holster from the belt. Carry cant runs 0° to 15°. The P938’s slim 9mm profile and compact length sit naturally in appendix carry at a neutral cant — the external hammer profile is low enough that it does not create a pressure point against the abdomen in that position.
Care Wipe with a damp cloth only. No solvents or abrasives on the Kydex surface. Inspect and tighten clip and retention screws at regular intervals. No lubricant on the hardware — it collects debris and causes retention to drift.
