Dedicated Micro-Compact Injection Molding
This Outside the Waistband (OWB) polymer platform is injection-molded exclusively for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm/.40 (M2.0 variant) featuring the standard 3.1-inch barrel. Unlike universal designs, the structural housing traces the exact contours of the M2.0 micro-compact frame, ensuring a zero-wobble fit.
Critical Fitment Exclusions: Due to the precise trigger guard molding, this holster is strictly for the standard Shield M2.0 (3.1″). It will not accommodate the wider double-stack M&P M2.0 Compact/Full-Size, the Shield Plus, the Shield EZ, or any Shield models equipped with factory or aftermarket integrated lasers.
Active Index-Release Security (Level II)
Transitioning from passive friction, this OWB rig utilizes an active Level II mechanical locking system. Upon seating the firearm, an internal locking block engages the trigger guard, securing the weapon against disarming attempts or vigorous movement. The carrier disengages the retention via an intuitive index-finger release button positioned along the natural draw path, allowing for fluid extraction only when intentionally initiated.
Silicone-Backed Paddle and Angle Calibration
Designed strictly for external hip or range carry, the mounting system features a contoured polymer paddle designed to anchor securely over a belt or inside the waistband. The body-facing side of the paddle includes a soft silicone pad to mitigate hip pressure during extended duty or training sessions. An integrated 360-degree rotational gear hub allows the user to manually adjust the holster’s cant (angle) to optimize extraction mechanics for strong-side or cross-draw configurations.
Polymer Construction and Maintenance
Built from impact-resistant polymer, the structural housing is engineered for heavy use. Keep the internal locking mechanism free from dirt and debris. Wash the exterior and interior solely with cold water and mild soap. Periodically verify the torque on the rotational gear screw to ensure the angle remains firmly locked.
