Baldr Pro Dimensions and What Drives This Shell
The Olight Baldr Pro is a full-size weapon light — longer and heavier than compact tactical lights like the Baldr S or Baldr Mini. Its extended body runs further forward of the trigger guard and sits lower on the rail, which creates a significantly different shell geometry compared to holsters built for lighter weapon lights on the same pistols. This holster is molded specifically around the Baldr Pro’s footprint on the Glock 17/22/31 rail, not around a generic weapon light profile.

Compatibility Matrix

The Glock 22 Gen 5 and Glock 31 Gen 5 are not compatible — their frame geometry differs from previous generations and will not seat correctly in this shell. The Baldr Pro must be mounted to the rail before holstering. Without the light attached, the shell has no functional retention geometry for the pistol.

Shell Construction
Full Kydex construction throughout. The shell encloses the trigger guard completely within the mold from entry through the base of the guard. When the firearm with mounted Baldr Pro is fully seated, the Kydex flexes and snaps back at the retention point, producing an audible click that confirms full seating depth — this is a passive function of the mold geometry, not a mechanical locking device. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact. All shell edges are finished and polished along the holster mouth perimeter and body.

Retention
The retention screw controls draw resistance at the Baldr Pro body interface — the light is the primary retention contact point on this shell. The Baldr Pro’s larger mass compared to compact lights means the combined firearm-plus-light unit is substantially heavier than a standard holstered pistol. Test retention with a fully loaded firearm and mounted Baldr Pro before daily carry, and re-check after the first week of use as the Kydex settles into the retention position.

Belt Clip and Cant
The 1.5″ belt clip accommodates standard EDC and duty belt widths. Cant is adjustable at the clip attachment point. The Baldr Pro’s forward mass — significantly more than compact weapon lights — makes cant selection particularly important for appendix carry. A neutral to slight forward cant distributes the light’s weight more evenly along the waistband. Strong-side carry is the more natural configuration for the overall weight profile of this holster-plus-light combination.

Optic Cut
An optic cut is present in the shell. Given that the Baldr Pro already occupies the rail, any red-dot mounted on this configuration sits above the slide on the optic-ready variants of the Glock 17/22/31. Confirm that your specific optic footprint clears the shell geometry before mounting, as the combined light-plus-optic configuration has not been individually tested for every available red-dot model.
