Shell Material and Profile
The holster body is formed from approximately 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic, providing a rigid shell that maintains its shape under belt pressure and supports consistent one‑handed reholstering. A full‑height sweat guard on the body side runs along the slide, helping to reduce metal‑to‑skin contact and protecting the pistol’s finish from perspiration during everyday carry.
Retention and Cant Adjustment
Passive retention is provided by a friction fit around the trigger guard and frame. The retention level can be adjusted using the front‑mounted hardware screws so the user can fine‑tune draw resistance to their preference, and many SP2022 IWB designs allow user‑adjustable cant within a practical range for appendix or strong‑side carry.
Belt Clip and Everyday Use
A single belt clip is designed to attach securely to standard 1.5‑inch everyday carry belts, providing a low‑profile attachment for concealed carry. The slim Kydex shell keeps the pistol close to the body while offering enough rigidity for a stable draw and repeatable reholstering during daily use.
Compatibility Notes
This holster is intended for the Sig Sauer SP2022 without weapon lights, frame‑mounted lasers, or oversized muzzle devices. While the SP2022 is a full‑size pistol that can be carried concealed with a proper IWB holster, users should verify fit if they use optic‑ready slides or non‑standard sights, as taller optics or suppressor‑height sights can interfere with the sight channel.
Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the holster to high temperatures, such as leaving it inside a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex and similar rigid materials can deform under excessive heat.
Clean the holster using mild soap and water only; do not use abrasive pads or aggressive chemical cleaners that could damage the surface or hardware.
