Light-Bearing Shell Architecture
This Inside the Waistband (IWB) shell is thermoformed to the combined physical profile of the Springfield Hellcat equipped with the Streamlight TLR-6 illumination module. Because the TLR-6 utilizes a clamshell design that wraps around the Hellcat’s trigger guard, the Kydex architecture expands across the lower chassis to envelop this exact footprint without obstruction. Fitment Warning: This holster geometry relies on the mounted module for securement; it will not properly retain a Hellcat if the TLR-6 is uninstalled.
Module-Indexed Friction Adjustment
The primary retention anchors directly onto the chassis of the TLR-6 module rather than the pistol’s frame. Users control the exact extraction resistance by calibrating the dual steel tension screws situated laterally beneath the illumination channel, allowing the holding friction to be set to the user’s preference.
Enlarged Trigger Enclosure
A weapon-mounted light necessitates an oversized holster mouth. To maintain absolute firing safety, the rigid polymer overlaps this widened area entirely. This mechanical barrier seals the enlarged trigger guard zone from both the inboard and outboard sides, preventing clothing, drawstrings, or foreign debris from entering the channel.
Thermoplastic Constraints and Hardware Care
Kydex maintains its dedicated form strictly through heat-memory retention. Exposing the unit to enclosed, high-heat environments—such as a locked vehicle dashboard in summer—will permanently warp the light channel. Clean the surfaces solely with cold water and mild detergent. Do not apply fluid lubricants to the tension hardware. Check screw tightness periodically, using threadlocker only if adjustment settings need locking.
