Taurus G2C / G3C / PT111 Millennium G2 / PT140 IWB & OWB Convertible Kydex Holster

Platform Compatibility — What Shares This Shell and Why The G2C and PT111 Millennium G2 are dimensionally identical — the PT111 is the earlier Millennium series designation for the same 9mm platform; the G2C replaced it while retaining the same frame geometry, barrel length of 3.25″, and overall length of 6.25″. The PT140 uses the same frame as the PT111 but chambers .40 S&W — the frame and slide dimensions are shared, so both PT111 and PT140 fit this shell. The G3C measures 6.3″ in overall length with a 3.2″ barrel — nearly identical to the G2C’s 6.25″ and 3.25″ — and shares the same overall width of 1.2″.

G3C Front Serrations — Verify Fit Before Daily Carry The G3C has front slide serrations that the G2C does not. In Kydex holsters, front serrations alter the slide’s contact profile at the muzzle end of the shell and can prevent correct seating in shells molded tightly for the G2C. This shell is molded to accommodate the G3C’s serrated slide profile. If you are switching between a G2C and a G3C using this holster, test the fit of each firearm independently — do not assume identical fit based on listed compatibility.

The following Taurus variants are not compatible:

  • G2S — different subcompact frame and shorter slide

  • G3 full-size — longer slide and frame, incompatible geometry

  • Any G2C/G3C with rail-mounted laser or light — this shell is molded for the bare frame only; a mounted accessory will prevent correct seating

IWB/OWB Conversion — How the Clip System Works This holster converts between IWB and OWB carry by swapping the belt attachment hardware — no tools required. In IWB configuration, a single-clip or dual-clip attachment positions the shell inside the waistband at the configured ride height. In OWB configuration, the clip is replaced with a belt loop or paddle attachment that moves the shell outside the waistband. The conversion takes the shell itself out of the equation — the same molded Kydex body handles both carry modes, and only the attachment hardware changes. Carry both the IWB clip and OWB attachment when traveling to retain full flexibility without carrying a second holster.

Optic-Ready Cut The shell includes an optic cut at the rear of the slide window for direct-mount red-dots on optic-ready variants. The G3C TORO ships with a factory slide cut for optic mounting — if you are running a G3C TORO, verify that the slide cut profile on your specific TORO variant seats correctly in this shell before committing to daily carry, as the TORO’s slide cut alters the top contact surface. Standard G2C and G3C models without optic cuts are not affected by this consideration.

Shell Construction Full Kydex construction throughout. The trigger guard is fully enclosed within the mold from holster entry through the base of the guard. When the pistol reaches full seating depth, the Kydex snaps back at the retention contact point, confirming seating audibly. The sweat guard extends behind the slide, keeping the rear of the frame off direct skin contact during IWB carry. The shell’s closed-bottom design means threaded barrels and compensators are not compatible — standard barrel length only.

Retention, Ride Height, and Cant The retention screw is accessible from the exterior of the shell and adjustable without removing the holster from the belt. Ride height is adjustable at the clip attachment — three positions (low, mid, high) allow the grip height above the beltline to be set to the wearer’s draw preference. Cant adjusts from 0° to 15° at the clip, covering strong-side carry at 3–4 o’clock and appendix carry. The G2C and G3C’s compact dimensions and sub-1.25″ width make both positions practical for most body types.

Maintenance Keep the shell away from sustained heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth only — avoid solvents and abrasive materials. Check and tighten retention and clip screws at regular intervals. Do not apply lubricant to the screw hardware — lubricant attracts debris and promotes retention drift over time.
