IWB light bearing holsters are the correct choice for concealed carry of a light-equipped pistol. The light extends the pistol’s footprint significantly — a claw or modwing attachment is therefore especially important in an IWB light bearing configuration to counteract the extra weight and prevent the extended light body from printing through lighter garments. Dual-clip attachment is strongly recommended for IWB light bearing carry, as the additional weight of the light increases the lateral force that a single clip must resist during movement.
OWB light bearing holsters are optimized for duty carry, range use, and open-carry environments where concealment is not the primary objective and retention level takes priority.
